redreaders

redreaders a service to help you submit quality funding applications

Our redreaders service aims to give your application the best possible chance of success. All too often funding applications fail, not because of competition from other projects, but because the applicant misses the mark by not meeting the funder?s criteria and guidelines.

How does it work?

An experienced redreader will read through your application, supporting documents and the information supplied by the funder to ensure that your application is clear, comprehensive and appropriate, all for a fixed and affordable fee.

Your application benefits from:

  • someone looking at the application with 'fresh eyes' and an outsider's perspective
  • being read by someone with years of fundraising and or grant making experience
  • the extra time which you might not have available to read through an application and all associated materials
  • telephone and email support throughout the process

How we can help you

Provide first draft feedback: your redreader will review your first draft, edit and make suggested amendments where required to help you maximise your potential to meet the criteria set by the funder

Provide next stage feedback: talking you through the first draft and ensuring our feedback is clear and that we agree on next steps

Final edit: once you've incorporated our suggestions we provide a final review and edit so that the application is ready for submission.

The service is provided virtually, by phone and email, so it's flexible and easy to access; we can also meet you in person (at additional cost), if required. Of course we cannot guarantee that your application will succeed but our input will help to ensure that your bid has the edge.

What applications can be red?

Any. Whether you are applying to a grant-making trust, a statutory body, a national grant-maker or a private company, we will allocate you an appropriate redreader who can review your application before you submit it.

How do I access the service?

Simply send us details of the funding you're applying for using this form and we will send you a confirmation email and confirmation of cost. Once you've agreed to our basic terms and have paid the deposit we'll get cracking.

To quote a satisfied customer

"I think the main learning point is that every grant submission needs an independent review and edit to pick up errors that the authors miss simply because they cannot see the wood for the trees. Looking at the redreader points I found myself thinking "how could we have missed that?" but, of course, without a careful check that the response matches the precise requirements of the tender, it's all too easy!"
