i-volunteer aims to enable people with passion for their community – either as volunteers or by managing the work of volunteers – to connect with, learn from, inspire and support each other in what they are trying to do. Launched on International Volunteer Day in December 2009, this new social network has already been dubbed ‘the Facebook for volunteering’ and is fast becoming a leading source of news and opinion on. The site is proving popular with Volunteer Centres, Dave Adams from Brighton and Hove Volunteer Centre said "I love the feel of this site, it's a perfect mix of website and social media stuff and it feels like a second home already!"
