Red Foundation is delighted to announce an 80% plus success rate for their advice service, provided to a range of organisations that applied to v in the first stage of v funding, who have had their Expressions of Interest short listed to go forward to the second stage. The service, delivered through a team of experienced youth volunteering advisors, some of whom have worked directly with v on the development of their national youth volunteering programme, provided virtual support and advice to help organisations with their bids for both strands of the grants fund. This included ‘youth proofing’ their applications to help organisations better meet the requirements of the youth led grants body.

Red’s Director Jamie Thomas is delighted with the outcome, and said ‘‘Of course no funding advice service can ever guarantee success so we are really pleased that we have been able to help these organisations so successfully, especially as several submitted bids to Strands 1 and 2, both of which were made it through - we wish them every success for the next stage.’

One of Red’s first round clients, Sarah Rogers, volunteer service manager at Barnet CVS said, "Red Foundation has masses of expertise and an enviable team of very highly skilled specialists. Not only am I impressed that they are so affordable but they offer a lot for the money and work can be turned around in a very short time. Their support, help, advice and encouragement really got us through a daunting process with time to spare and I will encourage other colleagues to benefit from Red’s service."

Red Foundation is now following up with a ‘Stage 2’ support service for organisations that have been short-listed, open to both existing and new clients. The service will operate on a similar basis, ie virtually via email and telephone, and will again be priced at a fixed fee, in this instance £275 per bid.
