Red stages ‘Big Event’ for the Big Boos
On the afternoon of the 21st June over 300 people were seen to be queuing round the block waiting to get into the Fabric nightclub in London...
They were attending the ‘Big Event’, an opportunity to celebrate and showcase some of the projects and individual young social entrepreneurs that the Big Boost has supported since it launched in 2005. The event included live demonstrations of products and services, including a catwalk show by ethical clothing company ‘Green Knickers’, a ‘dragon’s den’ style pitching event for young hopefuls aiming to get cash support for their ideas, along with a wide range of displays and exhibitors.
The event was staged by Red, who also developed the concept, which proved to be extremely popular with all attendees. As Big Boost operations manager, Josie Gosbee, said, ‘The event was vibrant, fun and achieved what the Big Boost needed; shouting about the good work we do on a daily basis. I feel it is in no longer a hidden secret but is out there in the open for all to see. The Red Foundation played a huge part in making the event so special and the Big Boost owes them a lot for the extra mile they went with it – they really cared about its success and it showed.’
