What sort of organisation are we?
We are a social enterprise, a registered ?community interest company?. This means that whereas we can undertake trading activities, all profits remaining after we have covered our costs, will go back into the Red Foundation to support new projects, or will be donated to our sister charity, the Red Trust. As such we have no shareholders or commercial investors that we need to make a profit for.
Red Foundation is committed to providing an affordable and value for money service. To help us achieve this we keep our overheads low, with no costly premises and no more than the infrastructure required to function efficiently and effectively. At Red we have no desire to be a large organisation, with high numbers of staff and turnovers - we believe that you don?t need to big to have a big impact and our desire is to have high impact whilst being light on our feet.
